Ozarks Schedule Released!

St. Louis, MO, February 13, 2019 -- Amateur Players Tour is pleased to announce the 2019 golf tournament line-up for the Ozarks Tour. The schedule is anchored by some of the best clubs in Central Missouri, featuring The Club at Porto Cima, Old Kinderhook and The Ridge and the Cove at The Lodge at Four Seasons.

“We are excited to bring the Amateur Players Tour to the Lake of The Ozarks,” said Ozarks Tour Director Les Edwards. “The Ozarks feature top-notch golf courses that will challenge players of all skill levels and we are excited to partner with the St. Louis tour for the Season Kickoff at Tunica National, the 2-day major in Decatur, IL and an event at Old Kinderhook.”

Other Ozarks courses featured are the #5 course in Missouri, The Club at Porto Cima which will anchor the Ozarks schedule on a special Tuesday event on July 23rd.  The tour will kickoff at Tunica National on March 16-17, which is ranked as the #1 course in Mississippi.  From there the tour will travel to Railwood Golf Club on April 7th and Tanglewood Golf Course  on May 4th.  From there, the tour will swing north for a 2-day major at Red Tail Run Golf Club and Hickory Point Golf Club, where players will be competing for the largest prize pool of the season, with $80/person going into the pot.  The tour moves to Eagle Knoll on June 23rd before heading to St. Louis for the Hero Am at Annbriar on July 6th, which is a fundraising event for local veterans.  The Hero Am is a 4-person scramble where each team will be paired with a Wounded Warrior from the St. Louis area.  The St. Louis tour will join the Ozarks tour in traveling to the lake for an event at Old Kinderhook on July 14th.  The Club at Porto Cima will host a special Tuesday event on July 23rd.  The Club at Porto Cima is one of the most exclusive and prestigious private clubs in all of Missouri.  The regular season will end on August 11th at Bear Creek Valley.  The inaugural playoff race for the Ozarks Player of the Year will begin at Deer Chase on August 24th.  Everyone qualifies for the playoffs, where the points and prize money go up for each event.  The second leg of the playoffs will be hosted at Redfield Golf Course in Eugene, MO on September 7th.  The TOUR Championship will be held on September 21-22 at the Lodge at Four Season’s The Ridge Golf Course and The Cove Golf Course in Lake Ozark, MO.  Players will be competing for a season-long points race and separate season-long prize pool.

Men and women of all skill levels are encouraged to compete. Tour members are divided into five divisions based on skill level; handicaps are based on Amateur Players Tour tournament scores. Seniors (55 and up) and women are allowed to play from a shorter distance.
